The Bright Africa Foundation Welding School offers a rigorous, six-month certification program designed to spark economic independence for youth in Sata and Cyiri villages. Through intensive, hands-on training, students master essential metalworking techniques, structural welding, and safety protocols required for modern welding projects. By compressing industry-standard training into a focused half-year curriculum, we quickly equip graduates with a highly sought-after trade. This certification bridges the gap between raw talent and steady employment, empowering young men and women to build essential local infrastructure, launch fabrication businesses, and forge a stronger future for their villages.
The Fall 2025 class was a smashing success with 12 certified graduates entering the labor market. The Spring 2026 class is underway and is just short of reaching its funding goals. The $600 costs go towards materials, books, and safety equipment.
We are praying for another stick welding machine ($200) so we can divide the class into two groups. We would also like to add a MIG/TIG ($400) welder to our curriculum this fall.
