Rwandan handmade grass-woven baskets are made in a small village called Mpanda outside the city of Muhanga. The women of this area have formed a self-help cooperative, creating some of the most beautiful and colorful hand-woven baskets in all of Rwanda. When a missionary returns to the U.S., they fill their suitcases with these baskets. Selling them is a wonderful fundraiser and it is piece of their culture.
These are actual photos of the individual baskets, they are each unique and once sold will be replaced with another basket from our stock. Colors may vary a small amount due to computer screen variations.
This basket is 12" wide and 3" high. All items for sale can only be shipped inside the U.S. We are working on international shipping for our overseas sponsors but it is not quite ready.
